Royal BAM Group is a construction group with ten operating companies in five European home markets and in specific markets worldwide. BAM’s operating companies are active in the construction, property and infrastructure business lines, as well as in public-private partnerships.
BAM’s European home markets are the Netherlands, Belgium, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Germany. The group has additional projects in Denmark, Luxembourg and Switzerland.
The Group has a widespread network of offices close to the clients. BAM has approximately 19,500 employees. BAM shares are listed on Euronext Amsterdam.
BAM has been webcasting their AvA or BAvAs for years. The main reason for this is that BAM attaches great importance to good communication with its stakeholders, in particular the shareholders. “We know that not all shareholders can be present in person, but in this way we can make the information that is exchanged in the shareholders’ meeting available to them, and the webcast also enables our employees to become acquainted with the matters at the annual general meeting “according to BAM.
Webcast experience
The viewers / shareholders experienced the AGM webcasts as very positive. The webcasts also contributed to the transparent company image that BAM wanted to convey.
Open-Access webcast
The webcasts of the AGMs or BAvAs are publicly available via the BAM website, also for non-shareholders. BAM considers the broadcasts relevant for several different parties, such as analysts, journalists, construction partners and, last but not least, for their own employees. The more interest there is, the better.
Bilingual webcast
The language spoken during the AGM of BAM is Dutch, but in addition to a Dutch webcast, a simultaneous English-language webcast was available. This has been a conscious choice. “BAM is an international group with an international shareholder base, and not everyone has the opportunity to travel to the Netherlands before the meeting, which means we can increase the involvement of that group of shareholders”, BAM indicates.
