Challenge
Crematorium Hofwijk was looking for supplementary services which, among other things, would enable people to follow a funeral service remotely. The crematorium was well aware that people find it important to pay their respects as a final goodbye. A webcast gives people the opportunity to do so, even if they are unable to attend the funeral service in person.
Solution
Company Webcast has been providing the RoyalCast self-service webcast platform for the crematorium since mid-2010. That solution enables Crematorium Hofwijk to broadcast an unlimited number of webcasts based on a licence. Since then, Hofwijk has successfully broadcast more than 10,000 funeral services.
Result
The use of the RoyalCast platform has been a success for the crematorium, and countless family members and friends have expressed their appreciation of the service. More than 65% of all family and friends utilise the opportunity to watch the funeral service online, live and/or on-demand.
